It's come a long way from the first "gathering", 20 years ago, when eight guys got together on a rainy April morning to celebrate their shared passion for the Norton marque. I've made most of them since 2007 and every year just gets bigger and better, and it's obviously WAY past being just a Norton thing. I wouldn't hazard a guess as to the number of bikes there. 400? 500? 600? You couldn't swing a cat without hitting a cool bike. Whatever might tickle your fancy, it was there.
I was hoping to snap more pics, but was so busy catching up with old friends (and making new ones) that the morning kind of got away from me. But, in no particular order, just SOME of the stuff that caught my eye....
Will Bock's super fab MV four deserves two pics....
And for my money this stunning Norvin gets the nod for "Best in Show". Just the Fontana brake alone gets me all tingly.
And by 12:30-1:00 it starts to break up; with folks resuming their Sunday rides, returning to the day's other obligations, or in our case taking up an impromptu invite for some beers, burgers and other nipples out on the deck. What a way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
There's a line in a Van Morrison song: " Wouldn't it be great if it was like this all the time?" Indeed. Special thanks to all my Pennsy Buds and the New Hope crew for their wonderful hospitality.
